During a pre‑season friendly, Bayern Munich travelled to face Heidenheim. In the second‑half, Jamal Musiala collapsed on the pitch once again and was substituted off after only eight minutes on the field as a substitute.

Musiala later updated his personal social‑media account to address his health condition:
First and foremost — I am fine!
I would especially like to thank you for your messages and support!
I understand many of you are worried. Today I want to ease your concerns and explain to you:
I have been diagnosed with transient, brief and controllable absence seizures caused by neurological dysfunction. These symptoms may lead to episodes like the ones against RB Leipzig and this time in Heidenheim during the match.
I know these incidents can look frightening at first glance — but for me, they are currently part of my everyday life. I am receiving the best possible medical treatment for this condition and I remain very optimistic. Bayern Munich and my private circle have stood by my side and supported me through this journey.
Importantly, there are no additional health risks. In close coordination and regular communication with specialists, my personal wish is to take on this challenge and, with clearance from neurologists, keep doing what helps my recovery most: living a normal life and
continuing to pursue my passion for football. I take this responsibility upon myself. Overall I feel really good and I am on the right path.
What helps me most along this journey is being with my team, and with your wonderful support, continuing to chase victories and titles.
I hope this helps you understand me better. At the same time, I ask for your understanding — I wish to keep this topic confined to my closest trusted circle, the club and medical experts.
Thank you very much
Yours J
In Bayern Munich’s previous fixture against RB Leipzig, Jamal Musiala suddenly fainted on the pitch and was subsequently substituted. Multiple German media outlets reported that he had suffered a brief fainting spell caused by heat exhaustion. In this pre‑season friendly versus Heidenheim, he came on as a substitute and played for merely eight minutes before collapsing on the pitch once more.
