BBC reports that Chelsea have reached an agreement with Aston Villa to sign England midfielder Morgan Rogers for a club-record transfer fee of £117 million.

The 23-year-old midfielder will sign a six-year contract at Stamford Bridge, which includes an option to extend the deal by a further 12 months. Rogers will undergo his medical examination on Monday after finishing his commitments with England at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
This transfer sets a new all-time record fee for a British player, surpassing the £116 million deal Manchester City struck with Nottingham Forest earlier this summer for fellow Three Lions midfielder Elliot Anderson.
Morgan Rogers now stands as Chelsea’s most expensive signing in club history, overtaking the £107 million the Blues paid to bring Argentine midfielder Enzo Fernández to west London back in 2023.
