The 2026–27 Super League (officially known as the 2026–27 BRI Super League for sponsorship reasons) is set to kick off as the second campaign under its current branding and the 17th season of Indonesia's premier football competition since its inception in 2008.
The season begins on September 4, 2026, and will conclude in May 2027.

Persib Bandung enter the new season as the defending champions after clinching their 5th Super League crown and their 10th overall Indonesian top-flight league title in the previous campaign.
Season Overview
A total of 18 clubs will compete in the top flight this season—comprising 15 returning sides from the previous campaign and three newly promoted clubs from the Championship.
Garudayaksa FC and PSS Sleman became the first two sides to secure promotion during the dramatic final matchweek held on May 2 and 3, 2026. A decisive victory over Persikad saw Garudayaksa reach Indonesia's top tier for the first time in club history, while PSS Sleman secured an immediate return to the top flight following a one-season absence courtesy of a win over PSIS Semarang.
The final promotion berth was claimed by Isen Mulang Kalteng (formerly Adhyaksa Banten) following a playoff victory over Persipura Jayapura on May 8, 2026, marking the club's historic top-flight debut.
At the other end of the spectrum, PSBS Biak and Semen Padang were the first two clubs condemned to relegation after both spending two consecutive seasons in the top tier. In matchweek 31, PSBS Biak were defeated by Persebaya Surabaya on May 2, 2026, while Semen Padang fell to Dewa United Banten on May 3, 2026. The final team relegated was Persis Solo on the closing matchweek; despite their victory over Persita Tangerang, Madura United’s concurrent win against PSM Makassar sealed Persis Solo's fate, ending their four-year stay in the top flight.
