According to TyC Sports, ahead of the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina, Lionel Messi delivered remarks at a promotional event. He talked about multiple topics, looked ahead to the blockbuster final showdown, and shared his thoughts on Lamine Yamal.

“As our head coach has said, we grew up with a passion for football. No matter where we are, we always long to play, enjoy the game and find joy in it. Whether at school, on the streets or in formal teams, all of us started out playing for local neighborhood sides. I don’t think we ever felt pressured; we simply took it for granted, played football and enjoyed every moment of it.”
“We are a competitive group that loves winning, but football is a team sport. Our opponents also fight hard, and victory is never guaranteed. I learned from an early age that you lose more games than you win, and that experience has helped me grow both as a person and as a player.”
Speaking about Lamine Yamal, Messi said: “Yamal is an exceptional player. I follow him closely because he plays for the club I love, and I will always wish him the best. At just 19 years old, he is already a world-class benchmark, with his entire career still ahead of him. He has a great chance to make history in this final, and we will do everything we can to stop him from achieving that success. I wish him all the best.”
“Honestly, the story behind that old photo is absolutely crazy. That is just life. He was still a baby when we took that picture, and now we are facing each other in a World Cup final. It is incredible. He is undoubtedly one of the best players in the world right now.”
“I wish him good luck, because his great performances are also good for Barcelona. We will strive to play at our best and prevent him from showing his top form, difficult as it may be. Spain boasts outstanding individual players and excellent overall tactics, and we have our own strengths and weapons as well.”
